Daya Nayak Speaks at Last

Daya Nayak has finally spoken. In breaking his silence, he has given himself his best defence.

The purpose of this blog is now complete, I no longer need to speak of the other side of the story when the man himself has stepped forward to speak out. However, comments are still open, so please feel free to post your comments here.

Thank you everyone for reading the blog and for all the comments. Your support was essential for this blog's success. Let us continue to support an innocent man and pray for him in whatever way we can.

Yes finally he has opened his mouth and hope that he gets bail asap . I saw his interviews in all the major TV channels and it has only reaffirmed my existing belief that he has been falsely implicated by corrupt / witty IPS officers . I hope that more people come in support of him and once again he is reinstated in the Crime Branch department .

Punkprincess - Appreciate your efforts in spreading the word.

We should not give up. Punk Princess please keep up the good work.. There are miles to go before we sleep. Now that the man is in custody he will need people to defend him

Dear Punk Princess
The man needs you most now. He cannot speak for his voice is silenced. His family is under great pressure. His wife is being grilled every day. The cops will use her as a weapon... they will try to make his associates (the others who were arrested earlier) speak against him. Do you know how police interrogation works. They screw your brains by putting words into your co-accused mouth. We have to support him. Keep up the good work. Please let us know what ever comes to your notice. Let's make this a movement. It's not just about Daya Nayak.. It's about fighting corruption. If Daya was corrupt and is being crucified today for his deeds, the same law should apply to all other officers who have amassed ill-gotten wealth.

punkprice,

I appreciate.Common sense says ,Daya is haunted since, under cover he was doing his duty. Remember he was "untracable".Now those who are sufferring from him is making the net to finish him off.If he was corrupt ,he wouldnt have had to face this.

punk pricess ,

Yes at last they've got him. Wonder why he is so ashamed to be in custody - he's dragged enough of poor folks to the p station, now he's feeling what they did. He's feeling that he should'nt have treated them as criminals - ONLY as suspects, and that they were innocent until proven guilty. As were the 80 odd persons he killed in cold blood. It was he who decided that they were guilty and executed them. Murderer. And dont blame his superiors. No cop has to murder anybody just because he was asked to do so. Pathetic excuse, that's what it is. It seems that only the first time its difficult to kill someone. After that is pretty easy. After the first few, it was only racking up points. Speculation is that he needed money to pay off some debts and thats why he initially agreed to do the killings (also called 'encounters'in policespeak). After the first few, well he found it wasnt so hard after all...and the rest is history. Now obviously the authorities cant arrest him for these killings - they sanctioned them in beginning - so this was the legal way out. Ofcourse we know that all, and I mean all, cops take bribes. Get evidence and they'll all go to trial. Yes, our overburdened courts are still about the only bastion of hope in this tainted country.
And yes, as punk princess rightly pointed out, why not all the other killers(encounter specialist!), why only Daya. And the answer is - all in good time. This was a test case. If it's successful - so far it is - then the others turn will come. And the courts are learning what a farce these 'encounters' are; not a SINGLE policeman killed in, what, 600 killings?? C'mon, for crying out aloud, the cops story in each and every killing was that they asked for surrender, the bad guys pulled out a gun (sometimes they even fire from them!)and ofcourse our ace cops get the better of them. Six Hundred times??? Do you know the thriving blackmarket for countrymade and other unregistered handguns in Mumbai?" Huge. And the biggest buyers of these guns? Cops. Cause they need to plant them at these killing spots as defence for themselves.
One cdown. Many more to go. Why suddenly? Who cares. As long as the bad guys go down. And don't matter if he is aquitted by the courts for lack of evidence or whatever. He's stained for life. There IS a God.

WHY ARE THE INNOCENT IN THIS COUNTRY OF OURS SUFFERING.WHERE ARE THE GOOD CITIZENS WHY ARE'NT THEY COLLECTIVELY FIGHTING THIS CORRUPT SYSTEM. IT WAS SOME YEARS BACK IN PUNE WHEN Mr.ARUN BHATIA WAS FIGHTING TOOTH AND NAIL TO GIVE THE BEST TO RESIDENTS OF PUNE AND WHAT HAPPENED THIS CORRUPT SYSTEM OF OURS SCREWED HIS CAREER.WHAT ABOUT Mr.KHAINAR OF BOMBAY DO YOU HEAR OF HIM? NO! ONCE AGAIN OUR BELOVED MINISTERS GOT HIS CAREER SCREWED UP. NOW ITS DAYA NAYAK SCREW HIM TOO. WHY? AS THEIR TREASURY IS GETTING EMPTY. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE ? WE THE GENERAL PUBLIC. WE HAVE TO GET TO ARMS AND FIGHT COLLECTIVELY AGAINST SUCH CORRUPTED MINISTERS AND LAW GUARDIANS. ONCE THIS TAKES PLACE THERE WONT BE ANY CORRUPTION IN THE COUNTRY AND THERE WONT BE ANY THING AS UNDERWORLD. FEEL CORRUPTION AND IMMEDIATELY THERE SHOULD BE A SOLUTION ( BANG THE BASTARD IN PUBLIC ) LAW OF THE MIDDLE EAST.
I LOVE MY COUNTRY AND REALLY FEEL BAD THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING. OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN MAHATMA GANDHI NEVER DREAMT THIS WILL BE THE INDIA HE HAD DREAMT.
GOD BLESS INDIA.

you're right buddy, the ACB is doing all it can to delay nayak's case and keep him in jail.
i'm pretty irritated with the media's silence now that Nayak is in jail; i mean there's hardly any reporting on the current status of his case. almost as if they've been paid to shut up...
i've been thinking of starting to blog again, what do you guys think?

Most of the defamation for Sri Daya Nayak came from the media rather than ACB!

Vow, great job , we need to support honest cops like him.Today's CNN_IBN news item on Rajbir Singh once again potrayed Daya in bad light.Cheap journalists presenting wrong facts that he is still under suspension. The truth is Daya Nayak is back in service and investigating last july11 Mumbai blasts.
